Labour Councillors at East Croydon Station campaigning on last day of ticket office closure consultation

East Croydon Station is among the busiest railway stations in the country, with over 15 million passengers entering or exiting the station.
The rail companies initially tried to rush the consultation through in July 2023, but were forced by public outrage to extend the consultation to 1 September 2023.
Labour Councillors, including those in Addiscombe West and Fairfield Wards, opposed the closure of East Croydon Station and held several campaign events to remind the public to comment on the proposal.
